OTK Boots Are The New Pants.
I had a realization recently – over the knee boots are basically the new pants (deep, I know…). I mean when paired with a decent length dress you’re pretty much left with just a little sliver of exposed knee, and we all know that no pants are the best pants so let’s embrace it my friends. AND as someone who can’t just pull the trigger on $700 Stuart Weitzman boots, this pair is under $100 and does the trick.
In full transparency here I’m writing this post after waking up at 5 AM and haven’t quite finished my first coffee yet, so you might be just getting some lack of sleep weirdness with this one, but let’s just go with it.
Lately I’ve been stocking my closet with silk pieces – it’s a fabric that gets a ton of wear year round with the weather in San Francisco and instantly dresses up otherwise simple silhouettes. Beyond the dry cleaning factor, it’s just easy, which is what I look for in my closet staples. This silk shirt dress from Madewell is just that – the star pattern makes it a little different than your typical LBD and yet you can just throw on a pair of OTK boots and quickly get out the door on days when putting the thought into a full “look” is just too hard.
Are you a fan of OTK boots?
