july highlights.

I’d be lying if I said that I was sad to see July go. It’s really nothing against the month, it was overall a great one with a few really amazing and unique happenings (like my trapeze lesson at TSNY & Shedd BLU!) but… VACATION IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. And that’s been basically all that’s been on my mind. So forgive me as I hurry July out the door so I can get to August 2nd sooner and plant my butt on the beach for a week in North Carolina.

Some highlights from my month:

Cooking a delicious Home Chef dinner with my best friend Sam
Seeing Dave Matthews Band at Northerly Island on the 4th of July
Getting my butt kicked by The Barre Code in their new TBC class
Spending weekend mornings in bed with my Callie girl
Indulging in a few too many ice cream cones (tis the season!)
Long walks in Grant Park and along the lakefront
Pulling together a fun DIY with Glidden Paints, coming to the blog soon
Crossing “take a trapeze lesson” off of my 101 in 1001 list
Spending a quiet Friday evening at home with some Netflix
Wearing a go-to combo of chambray + stripes
Finally realizing just how delicious vegan food can be thanks to Native Foods
Taking advantage of perfect bike riding weather with rides to the office
Accompanying Dalia to Sarah Seven’s showroom to pick out her wedding dress!
Lots of fetch thanks to Callie’s new favorite thing in the world, the Chuck-It
Evenings spent rooftop grilling with the guy
Coming home to the loveliest of deliveries from One Love Organics
Soaking up some sun poolside with a good book and an iced coffee
Feeling super ladylike in a floral and lace combination
Wearing one of my favorite Forever 21 finds
Stopping in Pinkberry for a little frozen yogurt appetizer before dinner
Seeing the perfect morning reminder on my walk to work
Attending Shedd BLU for the 2nd year with my guy (amazing!)
