one last race.

It’s official, the Chicago Marathon is only a week away and I’ll be running my last race before the big 26.2 this weekend, Chicago’s RUN 10 FEED 10 10K (plus I’ll be running another 6 miles afterward but who’s counting?). I always love it when two things I’m passionate about are combined and this race is a perfect example of that – Women’s Health Magazine and the FEED Foundation have come together to create an event that celebrates fitness while supporting an incredible cause, where 10 meals are donated on behalf of every 10K runner.
I’m looking forward to a race where my miles go toward an important cause; running has become a real time of reflection for me, it’s when I’m able to clear my mind and truly focus on recognizing all that I am thankful for and lucky to have.
I’ve partnered with Women’s Health Magazine and the FEED Foundation to run in Sunday’s race and help spread the word about the cause. If you’re located in Chicago I’d love for you to join me, the run starts at 8 AM in Lincoln Park and there’s still time for you to register online!
As part of this partnership and my final week of marathon prep, I’m hosting a little giveaway full of goodies from Women’s Health Magazine and the FEED Foundation. I’m working to finalize my playlist for race day and would love your help – what songs are a must for my 2013 Marathon Playlist?
Here’s what is up for grabs:
Giveaway items provided by Women’s Health Magazine, Panasonic and Unilever:
- Limited Edition FEED bag
- October issue of Women’s Health
- Degree Mini Deoderant (24H Motion Sense)
- Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15
- Panasonic Compact Beauty Precision Facial Hair Trimmer
- Panasonic Compact Beauty Precision Body Shaver
- Panasonic Compact Beauty Heated Eyelash Curler
The giveaway will be open for a week so please keep the song suggestions comin’ and check back on Friday, October 11 for the winner.
I received complimentary entry into the RUN 10 FEED 10 race thanks to Women’s Health Magazine – all opinions are my own and I wouldn’t be sharing this with you if I didn’t feel strongly about the cause.
