recipe // bbq pulled pork sandwiches.

I’m always a big fan of anything that I can throw in the crock pot and have it turn into a delicious meal with minimal effort on my part.  I found this recipe for BBQ Pulled Pork a few years ago and it’s been one of my favorite, crowd pleasing recipes ever since.  They’re a great option for a big family dinner or in slider form as an appetizer while watching the game.

I usually make the sandwiches on a kaiser roll but decided to switch it up this time and serve on pretzel rolls that I found at Trader Joe’s – totally amazing.

Ingredients:

  • Country Style Pork Ribs (you can use either bone-in or boneless)
  • Beef Broth
  • BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s “Sweet & Spicy” is my favorite)
  • Kaiser or Pretzel Rolls

Directions:

  • Add pork to crock pot and add enough broth to cover the meat
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally
  • Drain meat and shred with fork – if you’ve used bone-in pork, carefully go through the meat and remove all bones
  • Return meat to crock pot – add BBQ sauce and heat on “warm” setting for 30 minutes – 1 hour (mostly depends on when you’d like to eat)
  • Serve on hard roll or pretzel roll
