memorial day made easy with IZZE.
Anyone else feel their most patriotic when a holiday weekend rolls around? I’m always eager to bust out the red white and blue when an extra day off of work is involved and maybe it’s the result of spending way too much time on Pinterest but I love any excuse for a theme party and the little details that go along with it. Unfortunately I’m also one of those people who has grand plans for crafts and detailed tablescapes but then never actually has the time or attention span to actually execute ’em. Enter the easy, yet impressive details. I’m all about them.
Some ways to make your Memorial Day weekend awesome without spending your entire weekend planning and prepping:
1. Choose Cohesive Colors: Having a theme will make your event feel special instead of just like any other day. For Memorial Day it’s pretty obvious what colors to choose due to the weekend’s patriotic nature – go beyond just choosing colored plates and cups and look for foods and drinks that are red, white and blue, like IZZE’s Blueberry flavor (SO good! I quit drinking soda several years ago but I love that IZZE is made with fruit juice and has no added sugar or preservatives) and have fun with it!
2. Look For Grocery Store Upgrades: I’ve accepted the fact that I’ll never be a 100% from scratch, homemade kind of gal. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Don’t be afraid to buy vs. make – pick up store-made cupcakes and add colorful sprinkles instead of stressing yourself out about making your own. Looking for a festive, healthy snack? Try making fruit skewers using strawberries, blueberries and raspberries – they’ll look super cute yet only take a minute to assemble.
3. Focus on a Few Details: Not everything needs to look Pinterest perfect (most people don’t even notice which can drive you crazy if you’ve spent tons of time on something!), instead bring in a few details that are unexpected and align with your theme like striped paper straws, adding little paper flag toothpicks to your treats or making pom pom skewers for your festive fruit with the help of a dab of hot glue.
Will you be hosting or attending a Memorial Day get together this weekend? Does anyone have a favorite IZZE flavor? Do you have any go to recipes or easy DIYs for hosting?
